I honestly don’t understand how this place earned the title of a “master chef” restaurant. Every dish we ordered—grilled short rib patties, cold soybean noodle soup, and pan-fried beef slices—was disappointing and lacked flavor. Seoul has so many amazing restaurants, and we thought we’d avoid the crowds at the department store by eating here, but it turned out to be a big mistake. One staff member was particularly rude and spoke in a very snappy, unpleasant tone. When we asked if Apple Pay was accepted, they even pulled our phone out of our hands—completely inappropriate and offensive behavior. Overall, the attitude and service were extremely unpleasant. One of the better restaurants in Lotte Departmental Main branch on 13F. Nampa House or Nampagotaek restaurant offers a wide range of authentic Korean homemade food following recipes passed down of a noble Naju family. Be it stew or sets, they all tasted great. Ambience was elegant and cosy. Just be there early before typical meal time. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

Staff was plain rude towards tourists. The fish ordered was mediocre and seemed like something one can get from and prepare from any local fish markets. Makgeolli was good through, presumably to intoxicate customers and avoid being left a bad review. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ₩10,000–20,000 Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
