— ₩6,500 for THIS? Seoul's Most Unbelievable Value Meal. I've eaten across Seoul for years. I know a real local gem when I see one — and Darae Hambak Steak is absolutely the real thing. THE FOOD: The signature Hamburg Steak (함박스테이크) arrives sizzling on a cast-iron plate, blanketed in a rich, glossy brown sauce and crowned with a perfectly cooked sunny-side-up egg. The patty is thick, tender, and impressively juicy — no off-putting gaminess, just clean, well-seasoned beef that practically falls apart under your fork. Break the egg yolk into the sauce, mix it with the steamed white rice provided alongside, and you have one of the most satisfying bowls this city has to offer. The set includes: hamburg steak on iron plate, fried egg, steamed rice, cream soup, bean sprout soup, kimchi (kkakdugi), and shredded cabbage with ketchup — all for ₩6,500. Read that again. THE PRICE: In a city where a mediocre coffee costs ₩6,000, getting this full spread for ₩6,500 is nothing short of remarkable. Best value meal I've found in Seoul, full stop.
