I was walking past a store with my foreign friend to show them around Korea, and the sales clerks were laughing and saying things like we looked like beggars. I don’t think they realized I was Korean. Maybe they thought we were foreigners who wouldn’t understand, but they were making fun of my appearance, and my friend also understood what they said. It really upset me and made me feel embarrassed about Korea.
