We ordered the large aged sashimi combo (숙성회 대) and the abalone mulhoe (전복 물회) for dinner. I recently visited Japan, so while I’m in Korea, I wanted to enjoy truly good sushi and sashimi before heading back to the States. AND THIS PLACE SERVED. What I loved is that this spot offers the best of both Korea and Japan. They serve beautifully aged sushi alongside classic Korean-style dishes. Watching the chefs catch live fish right behind the kitchen was such a cool experience, and the fish itself was incredibly fresh and immediately melt-in my mouth. The sukidashi was also delicious. It’s a bit of a hidden gem, but it does seem to get busy on weekends. You’ll find both younger and older diners here, which I found fascinating. Good food really does bring generations together. The service was amazing, and I can’t wait to return. They also rotate their fish seasonally based on availability, which I really appreciate. I highly recommend trying the sashimi combo and pairing it with sake. Ours was fruity and paired perfectly with the fish.
