This spot nails the turntable cafe aesthetic. Serving sparkling water right before the coffee is a great touch—it clears your palate so you can fully appreciate the brew. The space isn't huge, but it's not overly noisy either, making it a solid place to just sit back and enjoy the vibe. That said, the coffee itself was a bit of a letdown. I'm not sure if it was because the bean was heavily washed, but the flavor profile didn't quite hit the mark for me. This was one of my best (if not the best) coffee experience in South Korea. I came here two times and both times the coffee was great, light roast and perfectly brewed. 2nd time, though it was very busy, still it was great and not feeling rushed and the service still great. The atmosphere is very nice, music is great and not too loud. They were very friendly and helpful and Anna recommended some great coffee roasters in Busan. Highly recommended to visit for a great experience and great hand drip coffee

My husband and I visited Deep Dive because a good friend recommended it to us when we asked for a great specialty coffee spot in Daegu. It is slightly out of the way from the downtown area in a quiet residential neighborhood, but it was worth the trip! The owner just got first place in a roasting competition held in Seoul (2023), but we heard he’d placed several times prior to this year. It is a small café, but they offer quite a large variety of beans (8–10?) from different origins and different processes, etc. We had two cups of coffee and they were both phenomenal! Their cannelés were really good too. The owner was sweet and kindly answered all of our questions about the coffee beans. If you are looking for great quality specialty coffee to enjoy in Daegu, we highly recommend Deep Dive! This certainly won’t be our last time and we look forward to visiting again.
