Donkey and I were out looking for dinner and happened to pass by Tous Les Jours 뚜레쥬르 문경중앙 and decided to grab some bread to prepare for our Day 5 Korea cross country route. The place looks nice and there are lots of selections of breads. We picked out three items specifically for our journey ahead: Whiger Madeleine (RD1) at 8,000 KRW, Salted Butter Roll at 2,500 KRW and the NEW Savory Frank Sausage Bread at 2,900 KRW. Everything we chose was fresh and well made with nice textures and good flavours. The Whiger Madeleine was rich and buttery with a lovely crumb texture while the Salted Butter Roll was soft and light perfect for eating on the move. The Savory Frank Sausage Bread had tasty seasoning and quality ingredients making it a great savory option for refuelling during the ride. The store is clean bright and well organized with clear labels with English, on all products so it’s easy to find what you need. We thought the prices were reasonable too, great for stocking up on food to take along the route without spending too much. Having these fresh breads ready meant we could start our day early the next morning without having to look for breakfast first. They were perfect for eating while riding and gave us plenty of energy for the long stretch ahead. We’d definitely stop by again if we’re in the area and recommend it to other cyclists needing easy to carry food for their journey.
