Gochang is known for its manila clams and eels so we made sure we can try this town's specialty whenever were here. Maengu's has a straightforward set up and a straightforward menu as well - grilled eel. The side dishes were served and refilled when needed. Someone comes in to grill the eel making sure its cooked to perfection. Maengu's eels are fat, juicy and the meat texture is almost similar to pork or beef meat. We finished our meal with a piping hot pot of kalguksu (seafood noodles) and this is surely one of the best meals I have had in Korea.
