Based on the shared experience of many who have completed this cross‑country journey, Day 7 is well known as a difficult stage to find lunch. If you miss this location, there are no further dining points available along the route for a considerable distance. Kitty and I were very fortunate to come across this place. I had noted this area during my pre trip planning on Google. However, most local restaurants here have very limited online information. We therefore had to take a chance. We were relieved and pleased to find that the restaurants in this vicinity were open. We chose this establishment and ordered beef rib soup. It was exceptionally tasty and nourishing, accompanied by a good variety of fresh side dishes. The operators here are all very friendly and helpful. We truly enjoyed their warm and attentive service. This meal gave us the strength and energy we needed to continue riding towards Busan. Kitty and I highly recommend this spot to all fellow cyclists. It is a reliable, welcoming and essential stop on this route. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Right off the Cross Country Bike Path is this delicious and affordable restaurant. I can’t speak Korean, but I walked in, held up one finger to ask for a “table for 1”, and the owner/cook sat me down and gave me the set dinner. Only 10000 Korean won for such a satisfying meal, which is only $7 as of now. The other patrons were having Korean BBQ it seemed. No physical menu, so you’ll either have to ask or translate the small menu up on the wall. Or if you’re like me she’ll just give you a big tray of food and you can go from there lol. It is a small place with only two big tables that can sit up to 8, so you may need to get comfortable with whoever is eating next to you. There is also a convenience store nearby for any snacks, drinks or desserts, and a bar across the street if you’d like a coffee or beer. I cycled from Daegu to Jeokgyojang Motel nearby and ate dinner here. Nothing eventful in the area, but the junction is a good place to rest and eat for the evening.
