I visited this restaurant with my boyfriend tonight and ordered salmon pizza and pasta, confirming with the waiter that there was no meat, only fish, since I’m Muslim and cannot eat pork. When the food arrived, my pasta contained pork. I explained the situation using a translator, asking the waitress to change it due to my religious dietary restrictions. Shockingly, she took my phone and refused to give it back while waiting for other staff to arrive. My boyfriend, who speaks Korean, clearly communicated my request to the waiter, so there was no misunderstanding. Instead of addressing the mistake, the waitress was rude and threatening, even saying she’d call the police if I didn’t pay. She offered no apologies or solutions, leaving me feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. I couldn’t finish my meal because I felt really bad and would strongly advise against this restaurant, especially for foreigners or anyone with dietary restrictions. EDIT : the waiter did confirm that there was no other meat than salmon. And the restaurant didn’t offer to replace the dish or cancel it so I wouldn’t have to pay. They do not want to admit their mistake. I did pay for the pork pasta dish and I have every rights to review the restaurant. Just tell the truth. You said out of the blue that you couldn't pay for food with pork in it.You were rude first. Since we can't communicate, we are more detailed and kind to foreigners. It doesn't matter that you are a foreigner at all. Think back to yesterday's situation. I had to show my phone to the staff right next to me. It took me a long time to read it and I didn't take it. I'm sorry if my attitude felt disrespectful, but I asked for a refund for a few minutes, even though I explained the situation. I don't think my boyfriend delivered it correctly. you didn't say were Muslim or can't eat meat. We are not stupid. We ask thoroughly because vegan, religious reasons, especially allergies, are dangerous. You didn't explain exactly yesterday. I said I'm sorry for the communication problem, but based on your attitude, I'm sure our staff are not at fault. It was rude until the last minute! you threw the receipt and left.
