The food is usually delicious and overall good service, it was horrible to say the least when I dined at this location. I think they may have poured some kind of chemical cleaner or something awful along those lines into my food. I also heard some of the staff say this. Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

If shabu shabu met a fancy "The Little Mermaid" decor, you'd probably get Modern Shabu House (MSH). To be frank, I was a bit weirded out when walking into the restaurant. It felt like a fancy hotel buffet or a tacky steakhouse and night club combo. You typically expect a "messy" set up for open-floor shabu shabu but not here at MSH. Everything is "digital", organized, and clean. Even the vegetable self-serve display was under a chandelier. The problem is with the meat. They really do not serve high quality meat, despite how thin they slice it. The only reason why it goes over somewhat smooth is because of its thinness. They absolutely need to upgrade the quality of the meat and they may have a grand slam here. It was refreshing to do shabu shabu in a modern environment in croissant-shaped couches. Won't frequent but a decent option if you need to dine out with folks you want to treat well. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ₩40,000–50,000 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian options: It's a shabu shabu place. Not for vegetarians.
