A must eat food for foreigners on Seoul. Army Stew. Boss and food is nice and casual environment. Just 5 mins walk from Marriott courtyard and Mecure hotel. Ordered 1 chilly middle set and tofu stired fried kimchi pork. Army stew, or Budae Jjigae, was born out of severe post-war scarcity following the Korean War (1950–1953). Locals living near U.S. military bases gathered discarded rations—Spam, hot dogs, and baked beans—and combined with traditional kimchi, gochujang (chili paste), and spices.
