Absolutely fantastic ssambap meal! For four people, we ordered the jeyuk ssambap (2 people) and grilled mackerel ssambap (2 people). These ssambap orders came with ureong ssamjang, a huge variety of banchan and a large selection of different ssam leaves. The jeyuk bokkeum was really delicious. The sauce had heaps of flavour and a nice sweetness. The grilled mackerel was one of the best I've had in Korea - soft, tender flesh in the centre and crispy texture on the outside. The ureong ssamjang also rivals the best I've had in Korea - plump marsh snails with an earthy, nutty ssamjang sauce that has a really moreish flavor. In fact, we ordered extra ureong ssamjang, as it was so tasty. We enjoyed a great range of delicious banchan. Aubergine, radish, doraji, spicy garlic, mushrooms, courgette, different kimchi options (mukunji and bokkeum), seaweed, beondegi. Really delicious miyeokguk with a bit of a garlic flavour in the broth. Plus the variety of fresh ssam leaves was really good! We arrived at lunchtime on the weekend (4 people). Didn't have to wait for a table. Staff friendly and service quick. Would absolutely love to revisit this excellent restaurant in Sigi-dong, Jeongeup.
