Advise if you never had temple food: If you like flavors, this isn’t for you. This isn’t a judgement on the culture, but if you’re a westerner who enjoys spices for taste, this isn’t it. And there’s the whole cultural layer where this is supposedly a spiritual experience of some sort? We were just looking for vegan food and we ended up waiting one hour for a quarter of the mushroom and paid 25,000W per person. (to put in perspective, we went to one a star Michelin restaurant in Seoul and payed double that). On top of that, the lady didn’t let us choose where we wanted to take. She didn’t speak English and we didn’t speak Korean, so she kept insisting that we take this one set menu thing. The lady was nice and tried her best, but this is so far beyond what I would consider good food that if you don’t know where you’re getting into, don’t do it. Price per person: ₩20,000–30,000 Food: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Unique and delicious! The owner is also really friendly and wants you to have the best experience. We enjoyed the food a lot. Come without having too many plans after, they take their time to serve the dishes and we thought this was part of the charm! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
