Beoseot-gol (버섯골) Donkey and I had an amazing meal at Beoseot-gol. Its easily one of the best dining experiences on our cross country cycling journey. We went for the Beef Bulgogi and it was perfectly cooked with lots of fresh mushrooms in a rich savoury broth. The side dishes were fantastic too especially the Korean pancakes and noodles. Donkey loved the fresh salad and said it was one of the best parts of the meal. What made this place really special was the incredible hospitality. The owner is a charming humble and genuine young man who took great care of us. He and his wife were so attentive and kept coming by our table to make sure everything was just right. To finish off our meal Donkey had a Fanta Orange, it’s non gassy so it was perfect for getting hydrated before our short ride to the hotel. We had two bottles of Makgeolli to celebrate the end of our day on the bikes. The food was top quality and the service was warm and professional. It’s a meal we’ll definitely remember and we can’t recommend this place enough to anyone passing through. Rating. Service: 5/5. Atmosphere: 5/5. Overall rating: 5/5. Price per person: ₩10,000–20,000

Kitty and I enjoyed an exceptional dining experience at Beoseot-gol (버섯골). We opted for the Beef Bulgogi, which was superbly prepared with a generous assortment of fresh mushrooms in a refined, savoury broth. The accompanying side dishes were equally impressive, particularly the Korean pancakes and noodles, and Kitty found the fresh salad to be a delightful highlight. What truly distinguished our visit was the outstanding hospitality. The proprietor, a charming, humble, and genuine young man provided exemplary service. Both he and his wife were incredibly attentive, frequently checking on our table to ensure the meal met our expectations. To conclude our visit, Kitty appreciated the non gassy Fanta Orange, which was ideal for hydration before our final short cycle to the hotel, while I enjoyed two bottles of Makgeolli to mark the end of the day. The combination of high quality cuisine and such warm, professional service made this a truly memorable experience. We cannot recommend it highly enough. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
