Got a birthday gift card~feeling exhausted Since it's a brand I've never heard of, I got curious. Called for delivery, but they said the gift card can only be used for takeout. On a weekday evening, I dropped by, timing it right since they're closed on Sundays. Tried to use the gift card. The male owner, who seemed to be the boss, had an unpleasant expression, and both of them started venting as if questioning why I'm using a gift card. 1. Other branches closed gift card payments. 2. Money is coming in late. They look at me like, "What can you do?" I don't even know the policies of Boredom Chicken. I just want to enjoy my friend's gift. While the chicken is frying, I grumble throughout. Using a gift card makes me feel like a sinner, and the owner, who received the gift card, seems to be making the giver a culprit. "Oh well... I can vent about life being tough, but I'm just a customer. I'm not broke; I can spend tens of thousands of won for a meal. Spending money and energy on a tiring day, what should I say to the gift giver? Watched a YouTube video of a BoriBap or Low-Cost Buffet owner warning customers not to eat too much. But this isn't a buffet; I'm paying the regular price. Feels like they're reluctantly doing business. If complaining is the vibe, maybe not doing business would be better. A fantastic businessperson blocking the potential for regular customers by complaining. Feels like adding bricks to a tiring day, maybe that's why the chicken seems to choose the bad ones. Tastes good but has that feeling of being fried in old oil.
