Unlike many local spots that use wheat-based rice cakes (밀떡), this gem uses chewy, glutinous rice cakes (쌀떡) that have that perfect bounce and satisfying texture. The sauce? Rich, slightly spicy, with a depth that lingers exactly what a proper tteokbokki should be. Price: Only 1,500 KRW for a cup portion, which is surprisingly generous. Perfect for a light meal or afternoon snack, especially for solo diners. It hits the spot without overwhelming you. The fish cake broth (오뎅 국물) is another highlight - deep, umami-rich, and warming, with the flavor fully absorbed into the skewered fishcakes.
