There are a number of pork places in this area and all over the country, but I end up here more than any of them, partly because it is the closest place to where I live, partly due to price and the food, but mainly because of the friendliness and patience of the owners - the wife who brings you your meal and is willing to show the ropes to foreigners (even if you have lived here for years), and her husband who is in the kitchen but always gives you a gamsahamnida and a bow as you are paying/leaving. I’ve only really tried the pork belly (samgyeopsal) and neck (moksal) but there are other menu items. Beer and soju are available, and the self-serve leaves, kimchi, peppers and garlic is always well-stocked and fresh. Enjoy the food and kindness of the owners.
