Little hidden restaurant in an alleyway run by a sweet lady. Only speaks a bit of Korean (not native) but we were able to order fine! I think they share kitchen with another restaurant. The minced beef shashlik was so juicy!! The beef fried rice was also good, as well as the vegetable salad. We were given carrot salad as a service and it was SO TASTY. Uzbek cuisine was a delightful and familiar experience. The national dish, plov, though reminiscent of biryani, had a distinct character and packed a flavorful punch. The generously sized manti were juicy and delicious, adding to the rich tapestry of tastes. The whole street seemed packed with restaurants named Samarkand, but I chose this particular one because my friend said it’s been around for 15 years.
