Visited 사유의서재 남산 near Myeongdong and the view alone made the trip worth it. The 4th floor has an open terrace with a stunning view of Namsan Tower and the cable car, definitely one of the best 남산레스토랑 options I’ve found in the area. The space felt more like a lounge than a typical restaurant, which made it perfect for a relaxed 데이트. On the 5th floor there’s a café and wine shop with a wide selection including 모엣샹동, all sorted nicely by food pairing category. They also have private rooms ranging from 2 to 60 people, so it could work well as a 모임장소 for groups too. Parking underground was convenient with free parking per amount spent, and I heard they removed their break time starting June 29th, so you can visit anytime now. Great 명동맛집 overall, would come back to explore the wine shop more. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Order type: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ₩40,000–50,000

Fantastic N tower view restaurant️. The atmosphere is great, food is delicious, and the plating is good. Ragu pasta is particularly tasty, and you can have the performance of pasta being mixed in a giant cheese wheel quite price worth. The atmosphere is enjoyable for people of all ages, and since there are private rooms, it is also great for gathering or group visits. The staff are friendly, and the ambiance is calm and luxurious. After dining at the restaurant, 4th floor, then relax at the cafe on 5th floor while enjoying the view of N seoul tower! Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

After reading some of the more positive reviews, I want to be clear about the venue I am reviewing. My husband and I, on a Thursday evening, about 6 pm., walked into Sayu on the 4th floor. There was no one there other than 3 servers. The space was attractive and yet chill and sterile feeling. We were greeted with a slight bow and directed to a table with a gesture. We sat at the table we thought was the one we were directed to. Mind you, there was no one else there. No reserved signs on the table. It was a table by the window and it was set for four. The server came over quickly and insisted we move to the table right next to it, which was set for 6. We moved. There was only one menu, so we took turns. There were 6 wine choices. Two white, two red, a rose and a proseco. There were no descriptions of the wines or where they were from. Anyway, I ordered the pinot noir and my husband the cab. We were not approached. We put the menu down. The servers continued to ignore us. Finally, we waved and the server came over. We asked for a glass of the pinot and glass of the red. He stared at us. I opened the menu and pointed to the pinot and the cab. He looked at the menu again. Started to write something down and then he looked at the menu again and looked at us and made a gesture. We pointed again. Finally he walked away. I saw him over by what appeared to a large wine cooler. He stood and stared at it. After about 5 minutes of that, he came back to the table and asked us again what we wanted. Once more, we opened the menu and pointed and stated aloud what we wanted. He went back over by the wine cooler. Much conversation with the other staff. More looking. He walked out of the room. Came back. More standing and staring. Finally a bottle appeared and he poured some in a glass. Then I saw him open one of those little plastic bottles of wine and pour it into the glass. That was the one he gave to my husband. It was a pretty sad pour. Maybe 4 Oz. After dropping off the wine he walked away. Did not ask if we wanted anything else. Drank a bit of wine and waited for him to come back. Nope. Waved again. The menu choices were minimal. There were three or four pasta dishes, one pizza and a couple of seafood dishes. We both ordered pasta ragu made in a cheese wheel. I would bet anything there was no cheese in the cheese wheel. None. He plated the pasta, dusted it with parm and dropped them on the table. That was it. There was nothing else offered. No bread, salad, soup, or cheese. Did not ask if we wanted another glass of wine. Never checked on us. The three servers stood huddled at the front of the restaurant and seemed to be avoiding eye contact. We finally got our bill. For that sad meal, we paid 75,000 kw. Ridiculous. Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ₩30,000–40,000

귀한 시간을 내어 방문해 주셨는데 기대에 미치지 못해 정말 죄송합니다. 와인 설명이 부족했던 점, 서비스 응대가 원활하지 않았던 점 모두 저희가 반드시 개선해야 할 부분이에요. 두 분이 불편함 없이 즐기실 수 있도록 더 철저히 준비했어야 했는데 많이 아쉽고 죄송하네요. 소중한 피드백 감사히 받아들이고 더 나은 모습으로 보답할 수 있도록 노력할게요.
