장어라는것을 처음 먹어봤습니다. 늘 듣기만하고 tv에서는 나오는데 솔직히 징그럽게 생긴 이유로 못먹어봤는데, 친구가 이 음식점에 초대해줘서 먹어봤습니다. 근데 생각과 완전다른 졸깃졸깃한맛에 같이 궁합이 맞는 쌈, 생각, 소스와 먹으니까 너무 맞있었어요. 장어가 나와서 구워지는걸 보니 아주 통통하고 쫄깃한기분(?) 이였어요. 음식점은 야간 들어가야하는 곳 이였지만 다시갈겁니다~ So never had eel.... I guess technically there is unagi/anago sushi I've tried but nothing like this. To be honest, the visual nature of the eel was too much for me but thanks to an invitation from a friend I got a chance to try it. Took my "When in Rome" attitude and tried it with an open mind. Well I have to admit, I liked it. when served over the open fire and grilling, it looked like pieces of pork and fish. But what made it delicious was the side dishes that were served, which was specifically for you to eat it with the grilled eel. The combination was truly great. The bitterness of the fresh herbs, ginger and the soy dressing with the fish was perfect. I typically don't eat lettuce or veggies at a Korean meal but here, I found myself having it with every bit. The only thing was that it was a bit far and the restaurant itself requires a decent drive but I think I'll be back ;)
