If you’re visiting Ulsan and love Korean barbecue, Saemaeul Sikdang is a spot you shouldn’t miss. Located in the city’s bustling food capital, this place feels like a local favorite. When we arrived, it was already packed, and the small size of the restaurant makes it fill up quickly. If you hate waiting, plan to come early or during off-peak hours. What really stood out was the service—one of the waitresses spoke English, which made ordering much easier. The portions here are huge, so don’t get carried away when ordering; you might end up with more food than you can handle! The meat was authentic and came in large cuts, unlike some other places we’ve tried. Plus, the side dishes were so good they could’ve been a meal on their own. For tourists, the convenience of being able to pay by card was a relief—no awkward moments trying to figure out cash. Overall, Saemaeul Sikdang is a great choice if you’re looking for a mix of good food, friendly service, and a slice of local culture.
