I visited Seongrim Hoetjip in Gijang, Busan, a historic seafood restaurant operating since 1978. Even though I arrived a bit late, the owner greeted me with great hospitality. I tried the Anago-hoe (sliced raw sea eel) for the first time, and it was incredible when mixed with shredded cabbage and roasted bean powder. The assorted raw fish platter was also very fresh and high-quality. One of the highlights was the eel intestines provided as a special treat, it was my first time trying them, and the chewy, clean texture was amazing. To finish, the spicy fish stew (Maeun-tang) was surprisingly hearty with plenty of fish meat, not just bones. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Busan! I would definitely visit again.
