We came here specifically to try their famous “green onion-stuffed makchang.” I expected a long wait because the place seemed pretty popular, but luckily the line wasn’t bad at all and we were seated almost immediately. We ordered the green onion-stuffed pork makchang and dweit-gogi (assorted pork cuts), which is something I don’t usually get to eat at home. The makchang was definitely delicious, but OMG… this place might actually be a hidden gem for dweit-gogi. There was absolutely no unpleasant pork smell, and the texture was incredibly chewy and satisfying. If my stomach had been bigger, I honestly feel like I could have eaten 10 servings. LOL. The green onion-stuffed makchang was also really good. The makchang is packed with green onions, so you get the rich, chewy texture of the pork together with the sweetness and aroma of the grilled onions. Such a great combination, especially straight off the charcoal grill. The side dishes are pretty simple, but they work well with the meat. The vegetable salad was fresh and pleasantly tangy, which helped balance out the richness of the pork, and the kimchi was good too. And dip the meat in the makjang sauce with soybean powder… WOW!!! Seriously, try it. We also ordered the cheese steamed egg, and they definitely didn’t hold back on the cheese. The cheese itself wasn’t the super rich, flavorful kind I personally love, but it gave the egg a surprisingly stretchy and chewy texture. Next time, please give me an even richer, creamier, cheesier cheese. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that the staff didn’t come across as particularly friendly. Nothing terrible happened, though, and honestly the food was good enough that I didn’t really care. I came here for the makchang but left thinking about the dweit-gogi. Next time I’m definitely ordering more of it. Food-wise, this place is absolutely worth a visit. I’ll be back! ‘파를 품은 막창’이 유명하다고 해서 찾아갔어요. 줄이 길까 봐 걱정했는데 생각보다 대기가 없어서 거의 바로 앉았습니다. 유명하다는 파가 들어간 돼지막창이랑 집에서는 쉽게 먹기 힘든 뒷고기를 주문했는데요. 막창도 확실히 맛있었지만… 와씨, 여기 뒷고기 맛집이네요. 잡내가 정말 하나도 안 나고 씹을수록 쫄깃쫄깃한 식감이 너무 좋았어요. 배만 더 컸으면 진짜 10인분도 먹고 갈 수 있었을 듯ㅋㅋㅋ 불판에 구워서 바로 먹으니 고소한 맛도 제대로 살아납니다. 파를 품은 막창도 재미있어요. 막창 안에 파가 꽉 들어가 있어서 막창의 고소하고 쫄깃한 맛에 파의 단맛과 향이 같이 올라오니까 계속 손이 가더라고요. 반찬은 전체적으로 간단한 편인데 오히려 고기에 집중하기 좋았어요. 야채샐러드는 새콤해서 기름진 고기 먹다가 한입씩 먹기 좋았고, 김치도 맛있었습니다. 특히 막장에 콩가루까지 같이 찍어서 먹으면… 와우!!! 이 조합 너무 좋았어요. 치즈 계란찜은 치즈가 정말 듬뿍 올라가서 비주얼부터 제대로입니다. 엄청 진하고 풍부한 풍미의 치즈는 아니었지만, 치즈 때문에 쫄깃해지는 식감이 조금 신기했어요. 개인적으로는 다음에는 조금 더 진하고 느끼~한 치즈를 넣어주셨으면 좋겠습니다. 아쉬웠던 건 직원분들이 딱히 친절하다는 느낌은 받지 못했다는 점. 그래도 음식이 맛있어서 크게 신경 쓰이지는 않았어요. 막창 먹으러 갔다가 뒷고기에 제대로 반하고 나온 곳. 다음에는 뒷고기 더 많이 시킬 겁니다ㅋㅋㅋ 맛만 생각하면 여기 맛집 인정! 재방문할 것 같아요.
