Spring Taco Shop — Generous and Clean Mexican Food Spot in Yongmun-dong, Daejeon I found this place through Naver reservation, and honestly, my first thought was, “A restaurant like this in a place like here?” — such a pleasant surprise! It’s tucked away in a quiet street, giving it that hidden gem kind of vibe. The interior is cozy but a bit dim. I personally wish it were a little brighter. Also, separating the staff area from the dining space a bit more would really improve the overall atmosphere and layout. Right now, the space feels slightly too open and underutilized — just a bit of redesign could make a big difference. Now, about the food — absolutely delicious and clean flavors! I ordered the solo set, and wow, the portion was huge — definitely enough for two people The Spicy Hot Chicken Taco wasn’t too hot or overpowering, just the right level of kick. The Pork Taco was flavorful and juicy — really satisfying. As a review bonus, I got a Jarritos Mexican soda, which was the perfect refreshing finish to the meal I’ve always liked Daejeon for its calm and friendly vibe, and discovering a cozy spot like Spring Taco Shop made me love the city even more (4/5 — Great food and value, just wish the lighting and layout were a bit improved!) I really enjoyed the food here! But be aware that there might be some waiting because there is only one cook/waitress. Otherwise, the service was excellent. One thing I would improve is the guacamole. It's was more like a tomato salad had some avocado smashed in instead of avocado smash had some tomatoes in.
