시골밥상 (Sigol Bapsang) Hidden spot in the underground floor of commercial building, where they taste good/good portion/bang-for-buck. I followed kakao app and ended up entering through sketchy narrow stairs entrace which I think was the side/emergency door, main entrance is visisble on the side once you know this is in the underground plaza (지하상가) of the building. Got the 수제떡갈비정식 (handmade tteokgalbi set) which comes with bunch of side dishes, tteokgalbi, and noodle dish. First item from dinner menus at just 8,000 KRW (at DEC2025). Rice bowl portion is little bit small but there's more than enough food from main and side dish. Overall gentle and mild flavour that taste and feels like the imaginary Korean grandma you never had cooking for you with care. Being open early at 9am for breakfast is a plus since not too many places open for breakfast in Korea (with exception of 24 hr locations). Tips: -Washroom is shared amongst all the basement floor resturants in the building, in the same basement area. follow the signs or look up the map they have near elevators.) -Side dish refill is free when asked (first thing the serving lady says as she lay down the food, is "let her know if you need more side dish" in Korean) -Tteokgalbi (떡갈비/korean style beef paty-cake), eat it wrapped in the lettuce and with the brown fermented soy paste sauce (된장/쌈 소스) -fried kimchi, eat it with the anchovy-soup noodle dish as per recommendation/guide on the menu -Water is self serve from water dispenser near the door Meal type: Brunch Price per person: ₩1–10,000 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3
