My first visit to IEUM, a modern Korean fine dining restaurant in Seoul that beautifully blends traditional Korean flavours with contemporary global influences. The name “IEUM” in Korean means “connection” or “linking,” which reflects the restaurant’s philosophy of connecting Korean culinary heritage with modern cooking techniques and international inspirations. The restaurant is also known for presenting seasonal Korean ingredients in a refined and artistic way, creating a dining experience that feels both familiar and innovative. Overall, the food quality was impressive and the dishes were very creative. I enjoyed the Italian-style risotto infused with abalone, the Korean ramyeon interpretation, and the unique seafood toast that stood out immediately. The foie gras patty paired beautifully with the wine, delivering a rich and balanced flavour. The grilled scallop was perfectly cooked, sweet and tender, while the Korean beef was done exceptionally well with great texture and flavour. What I enjoyed most was how they blended Korean-style steamed pork into the meal, creating a perfect fusion approach that still retained the essence of Korean cuisine while adding a modern touch. Ending the dinner with a specially prepared clear soup was a comforting and elegant way to wrap up the meal, before finishing with an ice cream sandwich dessert that was both playful and satisfying. Overall, a very fulfilling dinner experience and definitely an interesting place to explore modern Korean fusion dining in Seoul. Such a great dinner experience! All the food was delicious, the waiter went above and beyond explaining the foods we were getting and overall being very accommodating. Could not recommend this place more! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ₩80,000–90,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
