Advance Coffee is one of those places that gets the first impression right before you even step in. The exterior is sharp — clean lines, understated palette, just enough architectural intent to feel modern without screaming for attention. It fits perfectly into that Seongsu language of “refined industrial,” but leans slightly more polished. Inside follows through: minimal, uncluttered, and very deliberate. Nothing feels accidental, which makes it an easy place to sit and reset rather than just pass through. Coffee is solid and dependable, but the standout here is the butter bar. Rich, dense, and properly indulgent without tipping into excess — it’s one of those desserts that feels simple but is clearly dialed in. You get that deep buttery base with a clean sweetness, no artificial aftertaste, and a texture that sits right between fudgy and firm. It pairs well with their coffee, which is probably the intent. Net-net, this is less about chasing novelty and more about quiet execution — a clean space, good fundamentals, and one item on the menu that genuinely carries the visit.
