Hot days like today call for some 냉면, and I’ve been on a bit of a 평양냉면 kick lately. Still, I’ve been holding back because prices have been climbing steeply under the banner of inflation. I decided to give this place a try while exploring new spots—hoping to find the next up-and-coming gem. Interestingly, this restaurant stands out by offering a mix of seafood dishes alongside its 냉면, which is unusual compared to the typical focus on beef or just the cold noodles themselves. I ordered the 평양물냉면, and my first reaction? It tasted more like a cold 곰탕 (beef bone broth) with thin noodles than the 냉면 I’m used to. As a side, I tried the steamed dumplings—they were flavorful but had a bit of a commercial, mass-produced taste. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend this spot if you’re specifically looking for authentic or standout cold noodles. Price per person: ₩10,000–20,000 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 2
