日本語の出来るスタッフが全てサービスしてくださりお料理の説明も完璧 予約は午後一時であったが、早く到着しても快く案内してくれた。料理はどれも美味しく美しい。日本にはない青菜が多くとても珍しかった

Onjium – Seoul - Lunch 1 Michelin-starred restaurant in Seoul. There are only a handful of tables, and reservations disappear almost instantly. I tried booking online right when reservations opened but everything was gone. In the end, I managed to secure a lunch reservation through my hotel, who called on my behalf. Interestingly, lunch reservations didn't seem to be available online. Deposit required which they refund you when you arrive and takes 2-3 days to reach your bank. We were serves as soon as we walked through the door - I didnt even need to tell them my name but we were the last booking so I gueas they figured it out. The restaurant has lovely views and a calm, elegant atmosphere. Service was excellent throughout. We were mainly looked after by the same gentleman, who spoke decent English and would often strike up conversations with us. He carefully explained each dish, including the ingredients, cooking methods, the meaning behind the dish, and even how best to eat it. A lovely host. Only a handful of tables and bar seats so its a very small restaurant. Korean Alcohol Pairing – Generous pours throughout the meal. My partner was definitely feeling it by the end! A great way to experience traditional Korean alcohol. Tea Service – A delicious tea was served throughout the meal, with a pleasant flavour that complemented the dishes nicely. You can also pick between 2 teas at the end to go with your desserts. Food – Nothing overly experimental or surprising (some might say boring but the dishea focused more on the quality of ingredients), which I actually appreciated. If you're familiar with Asian cuisine, the flavours feel comforting and approachable. I had some dietary preferences regarding ingredients I dislike, and they accommodated them without issue. Besides the dishes listed on the menu, there were also several additional courses and multiple desserts served in between. Definitely enough to fill you up. The dishes were consistently tasty, and you could tell the kitchen and service team knew the menu inside out. The dining room was beautiful, clean, quiet, and relaxing. We spent around 2.5 hours there, but the pacing never felt rushed. Overall, it was an amazing experience and definitely worth the price. I can absolutely understand why Onjium has earned its Michelin star. The food, service, and atmosphere came together to create a memorable meal, and I would happily return. Meal type: Lunch
