용궁복어 Yong-Gung Bok-Eo(Underwater Palace of Blowfish) In Korea, blowfish/pufferfish(복어 or 복) are usually eaten in the form of a soup. blowfish soup is also Koreans' favorite hangover food. It really works! There are few or many blowfish restaurants in Seoul, but Daegu is in the southeast region, so you can find them relatively often. This is the best in the neighborhood. Even Koreans who like red and spicy soup enjoy blowfish in a white and unspicy style - called "지리 jiri". But you can, of course, ask them red and spicy soup(탕 tang) - if you want. Do you remember the movie Minari, which made Yoon Yeo-jeong win the Best Supporting Actress award at the Academy? This blowfish soup has a lot of minari in it. You need to unify the menu and then order according to the number of your company. They will put a large pot in the middle and boil the soup. Then, each of you can put their share in a bowl as much as you want. I usually ask for vinegar and sprinkle it a little bit. If it's not on the table, say '식초주세요(Shik-Cho-Ju-Se-Yo: Give me vinegar)' and They'll bring it to you. If you want to upgrade the blowfish type, you can order a more expensive '밀복 milbok'(jiri or tang). I'm just happy with normal ones. And I haven't tried any other dish than blowfish soup, but if you have more than 4 people in your party, it would be a good idea to order a small size of '아구찜 Ah-Gu-Jjim, Spicy Braised Monkfish' or '복불고기(Bok-Bulgogi, marinated blowfish grill)' for 2 portion.
