Our hotel was in the area (about 10 minute walk) and we came across this spot on Naver. It’s definitely a local spot, and you’ll definitely have a hard time getting by without using a translation app or speak Korean. When we arrived about 1-1.5 hour before they were closing, the place is still almost packed with groups of older “bros” drinking, eating, and having a great time. We got a bottle of Jangsu Sang Makgeolli (hands down my favourite Makgeolli, it’s grittier and a little milkier, goes extremely well with spicy food), Nakji Bokkeum (squid, veggies, and a spicy gochujang based sauce), rice (of course), and sundubu jjigae (soft tofu stew). All this was less than CAD30 and we couldn’t finish them. The portion is definitely larger than usual and both dishes were packed with flavour. Would definitely recommend this spot for an authentic local experience. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ₩10,000–20,000 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
