1. Location We actually came across 이가한우정육식당 by chance after spending some time at the beach nearby, and it turned out to be one of the best spontaneous dining decisions we’ve made. The restaurnat is conveniently located just about a 5–10 minute walk from the public transit, making it easily accessible even without a car. It sits right along one of the main avenues in the city, so it’s not hard to find. The area feels lively but not overly crowded, and parking spots can usually be found nearby. 2. Hygiene and Atmosphere One of the first things I noticed was how clean and well-prepared everything was. Every piece of tableware — from the chopsticks and dishes to the charcoal grill — was spotless and neatly set up before we arrived. The utensils and plates aren’t the cheap kind you often see elsewhere; the staff explained that they’re made of brass and copper, which really adds a traditional yet refined touch. The ventilation works impressively well as it draws out smoke from the charcoal quickly, so the smell doesn’t linger on your clothes. It’s always pleasing to find a restaurant that manages both flavor and cleanliness so effectively especially when it comes to restaurants that offer tableside service. 3. Food and Service The meats were incredibly juicy, tender and full of flavor. As the marinade was richly absorbed into the meat, I could enjoy the texture and flavor instantaneously — every bite carried a satisfying depth without being overly seasoned. The waitress also told us that the restaurant has a butcher department as part of the kitchen staff to deliver the best quality of cuts, so we could choose high-quality meat ourselves when we dine in. It’s a thoughtful touch that shows their confidence in the quality. They also served a generous selection of side dishes (banchan), each prepared with patience and special efforts to details. The seasoning was subtle and well-balanced, never too salty. My girlfriend, who is Korean, especially loved the 명이나물 (pickled wild garlic leaves) — she said it tasted authentic and fresh, and the owner told us they actually source and prepare the ingredients themselves. It’s a must-try if you visit. The service deserves a special attention. The staff were kind and attentive without being intrusive. The manager frequently checked on our grill, replaced the charcoal at the perfect timing, and made sure we had everything we needed before we even had to ask. She spoke warmly, like someone who genuinely takes pride in what she does and wants every guest to feel comfortable. It was nothing short of excellent - frankly, I was surprised to see the few negative reviews posted by previous visitors as my experience of the very service was complete contrasting to theirs. Overall, the dining flow and serving process are well streamlined, yet transparent and hygienic. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: ₩100,000+
