I love the old school eatery vibes here - the sliding doors, the brown wooden furniture. Everything seems so dated but yet so in place. The daughter-cum-waitress speaks English well, & will recommend what to eat, & how to eat. So no worries about you not being to read or speak Korean. The makchang sundae was promising, but it's an acquired taste. My partner couldn't handle the funky smell. I love the texture though. The heart was done to perfection but the liver was too well done to my liking. Do not miss the onions! It is as sweet as pears. Simply lovin' it!! We had a great experience having dinner at this traditional restaurant in Daegu. The family who runs it have been doing it for more than 50 years, 3 generations already. We really enjoyed it. As a foreigner it's really interesting to try the meals they are known for, as they're all elaborated in the traditional way. Their eldest daughter speaks fluent English and, if she's not too busy, she will be very happy to guide you to eat the Korean way The atmosphere there is very local like.
