A 5 AM sanctuary for the seriously hungry. We walked in right at opening, and the owner let us know that until 8 AM, this place is a one-man show. That means you’re on your own for water and fetching your own banchan—a totally fair trade-off for food this hearty at this ungodly hour. The signature Soondae (Blood Sausage) Soup was an absolute behemoth. While it only came with three actual pieces of sausage, the sheer volume of meat and pork intestines crammed into the bowl more than made up for it. The broth was a tad heavy on the perilla seed powder, but after dumping an entire plate of salted shrimp into the bowl (owner’s advice), it balanced out nicely. We also grabbed the Braised Pork Shoulder. It seemed like it took a quick trip to the microwave to heat up, but surprisingly, it didn't suffer for it. No dry patches and no weird freezer-burn smell. It came with a massive cap of collagen-heavy fat that provided an incredibly satisfying, sticky, chewy texture. Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: ₩10,000–20,000 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
