A Delightful Dinner at Ikseon-dong's Trendy Spot — 2Story House (Echeung Yangok) I recently revisited Ikseon-dong, which stands alongside Euljiro as one of the hottest streets for youth in Seoul. Since it was a somewhat special occasion for me, I made a reservation in advance at "2Story House" (*Echeung Yangok*), an Italian restaurant that clearly aims to be a go-to spot for dates. Even on a Sunday evening, Ikseon-dong was buzzing with energy, filled with young people packing the outdoor barbecue joints near the entrance. Our table was by the window on the second floor, which felt like a renovated old hanok with a vintage charm. The ambient, dim halogen lighting created a romantic atmosphere. Outside, the view of the disorderly rooftops offered a sense of tranquility—a refreshing contrast to the high-rise buildings in the city center. We ordered the Cod Pasta, Squid Ink Gnocchi, Duck Steak, Polpo Risotto, and Gambas. If I had to pick the most memorable dish, it would definitely be the **Cod Pasta**. The doneness of the pasta, the level of saltiness, and the overall texture were exceptionally well-balanced. The **Squid Ink Gnocchi** was also great, though it was slightly on the saltier side (which might depend on personal preference). The skin on the **Duck Steak** was a bit tough, but the octopus in the **Polpo Risotto** was wonderfully tender yet retained a nice, chewy texture. As for the **Gambas**, it wasn't overly salty, striking a fine harmony between the shrimp, garlic, and olive oil. Overall, it was a satisfying meal. While the young staff wasn't overly polished, their energetic service was pleasant. Aside from the slightly steep price point, it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. I would definitely recommend it as a solid Italian restaurant in Ikseon-dong! Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ₩30,000–40,000
