I came across 익선정육 on Instagram and had been wanting to visit during my trip to Korea. Finally got the chance to go with a younger friend, and it was a solid experience overall. The side dishes are minimal — just the essentials like dipping sauces and a few small plates. But honestly, that makes sense here. This place is all about the meat, and in that regard, it delivers well. The quality of the cuts and the way they’re served make it perfect for enjoying with a few glasses of soju or a classic somaek. The atmosphere and service were both pleasant — nothing overly fancy, but comfortable and attentive enough to enjoy a relaxed meal. While it doesn’t pack a big “kick” like the Instagram photos might suggest, it’s still a satisfying spot if you’re looking to focus on good meat and a chill dining experience.
