Tucked away in the basement level of a corner building, this restaurant sits quietly next to what looked like a screen golf practice place. There are only the two businesses there, giving the spot a strangely secluded vibe. Once inside, though, the space was much larger than I expected. What stood out immediately was the in-house dubu (tofu) factory, where fresh tofu is made every morning—a rare sight in the city. The first thing that caught my eye was the bright orange furniture, which gave the place a mountain lodge feel rather than a restaurant hidden in the middle of town. I ordered one of their set menus, which conveniently included almost everything on their main menu. The side dishes came out first, generous in both portion and variety, and the dubu—clearly their pride—was soft, fresh, and comforting, as if it had just been made minutes before. By the time the main dishes arrived—a grilled fish and a bubbling 순두부 stew—I was already surprisingly full, but the food was so inviting that I still found myself picking at it. This is the kind of spot that feels more like a countryside retreat than a city restaurant, and it left me wanting to return, maybe next time after a long walk when I can do their hearty spread justice.
