I recently dined at "Jamae Galbi Jeongol 자매갈비전골," a restaurant located in Jeonju, and I'm inclined to give it a 1-star review. Living abroad, one of the dishes I often crave is a hearty and spicy stew, so I was eager to try Jamae Galbi Jeongol when I visited with my family and relatives after a long time. However, our dining experience started with a lengthy wait of about an hour. The restaurant had both a main building and an annex spanning two floors, which raised our expectations quite high. We eagerly placed our orders, only to be surprised by the steep prices, approximately 18,000 won per individual serving. Unfortunately, what was even more disappointing was the portion size, which was exceptionally small for the price we paid. The taste of the food was also a letdown, falling far short of our expectations. Additionally, the restaurant is situated at the far end of Hanok Village, making parking incredibly challenging. The fact that people wait in line to dine at this restaurant is quite surprising to me. As someone originally from Jeonju, I can say that almost any restaurant within the central market area offers tastier and more reasonably priced food compared to this place. For these reasons, I would strongly discourage visiting this establishment. Considering the long wait, high prices, and underwhelming taste, I can only rate Jamae Galbi Jeongol with 1 stars.
