We were looking around the area for Korean food and chanced upon this restaurant located just behind Grand Hyatt. Initially the staff was not too friendly and until she realised we can speak Mandarin that we started to converse and it became better as it went along. She even recommended and introduced to us how to eat the hotpot and end it off with fried rice or noodles with the hotpot leftovers. The lady boss was even friendlier and even brought us the autograph by the male lead of 鬼怪. Overall, I must say the food was not too bad, just no wow factor. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ₩20,000–30,000

Wanted to finally end our unintended extra days in Jeju, I looked for a traditional Korean restaurant nearby our hotel and found Jejudaek. As we entered, I had doubt when it was empty and we were the only diners. However, the pictures of famous Korean (I assumed but I didn't know most of them) plastered on the wall together with signatures gave a bit of reassurance. Then I spotted Son Heung-Min picture as well and I was relieved. Service was not bad but not friendly either and I just wanted to finish my dinner as soon as possible after whole day outside. Grilled tilefish had sweet taste to its meat and seaweed soup plus rice made out to be a simple yet delicious combo; the boiled pork belly was good with its condiments; seafood stew was comforting and brimming with sweetness from the various seafood; and the banchan while simple, were on point as well. This concluded our Jeju exploration as we would head to Seoul next. Meal type: Dinner Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4
