Kitty and I were cycling through Jeju City when we stumbled upon Jeju Haejangteo, a charming restaurant with a welcoming atmosphere. The staff were very helpful, although they don't speak much English or Chinese. We had a bit of a "duck and chicken" conversation, but they were able to recommend some delicious dishes for us. While Jeju Haejangteo has a limited menu, they specialize in a few signature dishes, and they do them exceptionally well. They offer a variety of bone-based soups, including "Bone in good condition" (상태좋은 뼈), "Mixed bone soup" (섞어뼈국기), and "Large mixed bone soup" (섞어뼈국기 큰거). They also have a "Small bone broth" (작은 뼈국물) option, which is perfect for sharing. We ended up trying a few of their dishes, including the Jangteo Haejanguk (beef bone soup), Kongnamul Guk (soybean sprout soup), Konggibap (soybean paste rice), and Eorini Donkkaseu (children's pork cutlet). The Jangteo Haejanguk was flavorful and comforting, while the Kongnamul Guk was a refreshing and light option. The Konggibap was a hearty side dish, and the Eorini Donkkaseu was a great choice for a smaller appetite. They also offer various drinks, including Soju and Beer (소주·맥주) for 5,000 won, Makgeolli (막걸리) for 3,000 won, and Small Makgeolli (잔막걸리) for 1,000 won. Jeju Haejangteo is a great place to experience authentic Korean cuisine in Jeju City. It's worth a visit for anyone looking for a delicious and satisfying meal. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff are friendly, even if there's a bit of a language barrier. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ₩10,000–20,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
