The owner grills the beef over charcoal briquettes. This is a common cooking method in coal mining villages in the past. There are many restaurants in Samcheok and Taebaek, Gangwon-do, that grill Korean beef over charcoal briquettes. The taste was better than expected and it was a special meal.
