This is the most famous spot in the Cheonho-dong Jjukkumi (spicy stir-fried baby octopus) Alley; there’s a wait even on weekdays. The spicy-sweet stir-fried baby octopus is delicious—a true Korean favorite—and you absolutely have to finish the meal with the fried rice. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

My son and I stopped by this restaurant for dinner around 6 p.m. This street is well known for spicy webfoot octopus, so choosing a place wasn’t easy. In the end, we kept it simple. We picked the restaurant that was packed with local women. We figured they usually know where the good food is. Turns out, we were right. The octopus was fresh, the flavor had plenty of heat, and before long we were both sweating. Not because the air conditioner wasn’t working, but because the food was doing exactly what it was supposed to do. We couldn’t leave without ordering fried rice to finish the meal. It was the perfect ending. Would I come back? Absolutely. If you’ve had a long day and need something spicy to wake you up, this place feels like a warm hug with a kick. Enjoy.
