Authentic Old School Charm in Udu-dong Atmosphere & Experience (3/5): This bakery offers a genuine "old school" charm. It's run by an elderly, very sweet couple, and the atmosphere inside is incredibly warm and welcoming. It truly feels like a cozy, neighborhood spot. Layout Note: The store layout is quite unique—it’s not cleanly separated into a display area and a kitchen. Baking equipment and mixers are visibly placed throughout the space, which can be a bit surprising, but it adds to the establishment's rustic, time-worn character. Taste Test (2/5): Unfortunately, the taste of the specific items I tried was disappointing. Cream Puff Bread (슈크림빵): The bread dough was actually quite good, but the custard (cream puff filling) was very sparse and had an odd flavor profile. It definitely didn't meet the standards of a good cream puff. Coffee Bun (커피번): This item, labeled as a "Coffee Bun," did not resemble the standard version at all. Whether it's the bakery's unique old-school style or a distinct recipe, I felt the name was misleading. The dough quality was also lacking. Overall Impression: While the owners are lovely and the bakery environment is full of heart and warmth, the specific items I purchased did not deliver on quality. I might try their plain loaf bread or different pastries on a future visit, but based on the cream puff and coffee bun, I can't recommend those two items. P.S. I left wondering: who is "Jinni" (찌니)? 빵값이 꽤 저렴합니다. 우유식빵, 마늘크림치즈빵, 소보로, 크루아상 다 해서 9천원입니다. 맛이 없는 건 또 아니에요. 꽤 담백해요. 우유식빵은 향 좋고 쫄깃하고 촉촉해요. 치즈식빵은 치즈가 꽤 많이 들어갔는데 짜지 않고 좋아요.
