*Chatswood: Another Australian-Style Coffee Spot* Since I had to buy a cake after a long time, I visited a bakery in Seongnae-dong. Late in the afternoon, while looking for my daily dose of caffeine, I stumbled upon Chatswood. Though "Little Chatswood" was nearby, it closes early at 4:00 PM, so I ended up heading to the main Chatswood location. Chatswood is located near Gangdong-gu Office and the east side of Olympic Park, surrounded by several elementary and middle schools. There didn't seem to be a dedicated parking lot. Inside, the space was surprisingly spacious and decorated in an industrial style reminiscent of cafes in Seongsu-dong. As usual, I ordered an Americano and a Cafe Latte, and they far exceeded my expectations. I hadn't specifically requested a bean option with acidity, so I was a bit curious, but the coffee arrived with a well-balanced flavor and a solid body. Besides coffee, they also offered desserts like brownies. If you ask whether I'd revisit, my answer is 100% yes. My only slight regret was wishing they had a budget-friendly option like the batch brew served at 4oz Day Coffee—a similar Australian-style cafe in Jongno. While it might not be the best spot for studying or working on a laptop, it is an unbeatable cafe for catching up over a fantastic cup of coffee with good company. On my way out, I noticed a flyer posted on the window stating that a roaster belonging to this cafe (presumably) won the World Best Coffee Championship 2025. While I'm not familiar with that particular competition, judging by the quality of the coffee, it certainly felt well-deserved.
