Good quality food at an affordable price. Even though this restaurant specializes in octopus, they offer a wide variety of menu items. Besides spicy squid (minimum 2 servings at ₩12,000) which was served with purple rice, we had the chives and seafood pancake (₩15,000), buckwheat pancake with meat and vegetables/kimchi (₩12,000) and doenjang (soybean paste) soup (₩3,000). The meal came with 5 side dishes (radish kimchi, cold seaweed and cucumber soup, bean sprouts and lettuce). It was a sumptuous meal and we devoured everything in a flash. Its no wonder that the restaurant specializes in spicy squid because the dish itself was really delicious. Besides having a very nice wok fragrance, the squid was thickly, richly and perfectly coated with the sauce, and went really well with the rice and side dishes, which were not spicy. The filling in the buckwheat pancakes had a hint of spiciness, which gives the taste an added dimension. The seafood pancake was well-fried because every bite gave a good amount of seafood and chives in a fragrant batter. The restaurant was pretty large and spacious between tables. The waitresses managing the store were very friendly and helpful. This certainly added to the dining experience, and helped me to know on my first few bites that this restaurant would make it into my list of "definitely return" restaurants.
