Miniature concept Japanese restaurant on Garosu-gil, Gangnam: Chocodong 'Choco' means small bowl in Japanese, and 'dong' refers to a rice bowl or village.Chocodong is a Japanese restaurant with a concept of serving small dishes. Both the Yukhoe-dong (beef tartare rice bowl) and Sushi-dong come with common sides like Chawanmushi (Japanese steamed egg), meat udon, salad, crab meat tempura, mini rolls, and mango pudding for dessert. I like beef tartare, so I ordered the Yukhoe-dong, and my friend ordered the Sushi-dong which comes with 8 pieces of sushi. The Yukhoe-dong includes mainly salmon, shrimp, and white fish, with a total of 4 pieces of sushi. The Sushi-dong includes tuna, eel, and beef sushi, allowing you to enjoy a more diverse range of sushi. The udon isn't a clear broth udon; it has meat in it, making the broth rich and tasty. The Chawanmushi was slightly sweet, and the mango pudding was less sweet. The sushi was pre-seasoned with soy sauce, so there was no need to dip it in soy sauce, which was nice. Overall, it was a very satisfying dining experience at this charmingly designed restaurant near Sinsa Station! The reason I deducted one point from the service is that the staff didn't explain the dishes to our table. Also, the owner seemed a bit curt rather than friendly. - 미니어처 컨셉의 강남 가로수길 일식당:초코동 초코는 일본어로 작은 그릇, 동은 덮밥 또는 마을을 뜻합니다. 초코동은 즉 작은 요리들을 판매하는 컨셉의 일본 식당이에요. 육회동, 초밥동 모두 공통적으로 차완무시(일본식 계란찜), 고기우동, 샐러드, 게살튀김, 미니롤, 후식으로 망고푸딩이 제공돼요. 저는 육회를 좋아해서 육회동을 친구는 초밥이 8피스나 들어있는 초밥 초코동을 주문했어요. 육회동에는 연어,초새우 그리고 흰살 생선 위주로 총 4피스의 초밥만 올라갑니다. 초밥 초코동은 참치,장어,소고기초밥까지 올라가서 더 풍성하게 초밥을 즐길 수 있어요. 우동도 맹물 우동이 아니고 고기가 들어가서 육수가 진해 맛있었어요. 계란찜은 약간 달고 망고푸딩은 덜 달아서 오히려 좋았어요.초밥에 간장이 발라져 있어 굳이 간장을 찍을 필요가 없어 좋았어요. 전체적으로 너무 귀여운 구성이라 만족했던 신사역 일식당이에요! 서비스에서 1점을 뺀 이유는 저희 테이블은 음식에 대한 설명을 해주시지 않았어요. 그리고 사장님이 막 친절하기보다 조금 무뚝뚝하십니다.
