I didn’t expect to stumble upon this little gem on my way to the Mok In Museum. A cozy corner where time seems to slow down, the tasty coffee, the freshly baked pastries, the sun warming your face and soft music in the background. Simple pleasures. Cafe Ratto is a beautiful place where to enjoy a coffee or a snack or a small lunch. The seating area extends on two floors, and on the ground floor there is a beautiful quiet room in the back that resembles a zen garden. The coffee is really good and this is one of the few places in Seoul that makes a proper Italian Affogato (an ice cream serving with freshly made hot espresso coffee to pour over it). The choices of the menu are somewhat limited, but each one is a hit. The soup is very flavorful and the sandwich is great, with real arugula salad in a crunchy on the outside and soft inside small bread baguette. Service, like most places in South Korea, is very attentive and kind, with beautiful presentation even of simple dishes. Highly recommended!
