We stayed one night at Cafe Ovendong in Donghae and absolutely loved it. The hosts are truly wonderful people — warm, funny, welcoming, and genuinely kind. Our room was beautiful and thoughtfully designed, with a split level that had one bed downstairs and another upstairs — perfect for relaxing and feeling at home. The highlight, without a doubt, is the stunning heated pool overlooking the beach — such a peaceful spot to unwind and take in the sea views. The boutique coffee shop downstairs is another gem. Their matcha latte and hot cocoa are some of the best we’ve ever had, but the real stars are the homemade cakes and pastries, all baked by the amazing Yeji. She even surprised us in the morning with some freshly baked pastries and cookies that were absolutely delicious. It’s a place full of heart, warmth, and little details that make you smile. We left feeling completely recharged and grateful. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Donghae — a truly special spot. Price per person: ₩10,000–20,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
