If you are in Yeosu and crave exceptionally good coffee, go to Ikkeulda Roasters. The owner is both the roaster and barista, and he works with his wife to create not only excellent coffee but also a welcoming, beautifully designed atmosphere. After seven years in business, his enthusiasm and passion for coffee are both evident and infectious. We went there every morning while in Yeosu, and we enjoyed both espresso-based drinks and drip coffee from specific coffee-growing regions. They also offer a few baked goods made on-site. One day we had lightly glazed scones, and another day we tried chocolate chip cookies—both freshly baked and delicious. This place made our trip to Yeosu—and to Korea—very special.
