Pungmiyeon is a large 24-hour seolleongtang restaurant near Nowon Station in Seoul. I visited around 11 PM and the restaurant was still operating smoothly with plenty of seating and parking available. The “Jinhan Seolleongtang” (12,000 KRW) had a very unique broth. It was extremely rich and creamy, almost like drinking warm soy milk or milk-based soup, which is unusual for Korean seolleongtang. The broth itself was flavorful enough even before adding salt. The kkakdugi paired very well with the soup thanks to its refreshing acidity, although the kimchi tasted sweeter than expected. The beef slices were a bit thin, and the noodles were average, but the deep broth made the meal memorable overall. English menu was not available during my visit, but ordering was still relatively simple.
